This is my official bio, in which I talk about myself in the third person:
"Elizabeth Miles grew up in Chappaqua, New York, not far from New York City. She graduated from Boston University in 2004, and has worked ever since as a journalist for an alternative newsweekly. She has been honored by the New England Press Association and the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies. Elizabeth is a former trustee of the Portland Players, a community theater and second home. She loves pizza; she can often be found running around on stage while scantily clad; and a cold winter night in Maine is one of the creepiest and most beautiful things she can think of. Fury is Elizabeth’s first novel."
Five fun moderately interesting facts about me:
1) I am an only child. When I played outside as a kid, I pretended the trees were humans - I even kissed one or two of them.
2) I am a musical-theater NERD. I have been trying to turn George Eliot's Silas Marner into a blockbuster musical since high school. Please don't steal that idea. (But totes get in touch if you want to collaborate!)
3) Lauren Oliver and I have been best friends since eighth grade. Before we were best friends, we were enemies. We'll happily tell you the story, if you ask.
4) I am NOT a morning person.
5) I live in a two-level, one-bedroom apartment with my two cats, Ender and Bean, and my boyfriend Keagan. Neither of us is particularly neat. Please give us warning if you're going to visit so I can frantically tidy up.
